Who can take part

  • You are a woman diagnosed with peripartum cardiomyopathy (heart failure related to pregnancy or childbirth).
  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • Your heart's pumping strength (called ejection fraction) is 45% or less at the start of the trial.
  • You do not have a history of heart disease before pregnancy, and you have no serious kidney or liver problems.
  • You are not allergic to melatonin or selenium, and you are not currently in another clinical trial.
