  • You have chronic sinusitis that didn't get better with medicine.
  • You are having your first sinus surgery (on both sides of your nose).
  • You do not have a weak immune system.
  • You have not had sinus surgery before.
  • You have not taken antibiotics in the week before surgery.
  • You do not have a fungal sinus infection or a sinus tumor.
