Serine supplements to protect vision in MacTel
Part of Eyes & vision clinical trials.
This trial tests whether taking L-serine supplements can help protect vision in people with MacTel type 2, a rare eye disease. It may slow vision loss by addressing metabolic issues in the retina.

This early-stage study tests whether a stem-cell–derived transplant to the back of the eye is safe and tolerable in people with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). If you qualify, you may receive the transplant and have close follow-up to watch for side effects.
This trial tests a new way to deliver lutein (a nutrient for eye health) directly into the eye using a gentle electrical current (iontophoresis). It is for people with advanced age-related macular degeneration (AMD) to see if this treatment can help slow vision loss.
This trial tests a new way to deliver lutein, a nutrient that may help with eye health, directly into the eye using a mild electrical current (called iontophoresis). It is for people with intermediate age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common cause of vision loss in older adults.
This trial tests a new light-based treatment for intermediate age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a common eye condition that can lead to vision loss. The goal is to see if it is safe and helps slow down the disease.
This Phase 1 trial tests the safety and side effects of ASP7317 in older adults whose central vision is worsening from dry age-related macular degeneration (geographic atrophy). If you qualify, you would receive treatment in the study eye and be closely monitored for about a year.
This study tests whether taking daily supplements of lutein, zeaxanthin, and fish oil can improve the protective pigment in your eyes. It may help people with low macular pigment and good vision who are not already taking high doses of these nutrients.
