Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a suspicious or confirmed oral cavity cancer (such as tongue, gum, cheek, or lip) that is stage II to IVB and can be removed by surgery.
- Your tumor is at least 2 cm wide and can be safely biopsied (a small sample taken for research).
- You have not had chemotherapy or immunotherapy for this cancer before.
- You are willing to receive an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) before your planned surgery as part of standard care.
- You do not have an autoimmune disease that needs treatment, active other cancer, or serious infections like HIV or hepatitis.
