Who can take part

  • You have rectal cancer that has not spread to other organs and is within 10 cm of the anal opening.
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Your cancer is MSS or MSI-low (a genetic type) or pMMR (a protein pattern).
  • You have a good performance status (able to carry out daily activities, ECOG 0-1).
  • You have not had any prior cancer treatment, immunotherapy, or radiation to the pelvis.
  • Your blood counts, kidney, and liver function are within normal ranges.
