Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You must give your informed consent to participate.
  • The donor lung must come from a donor at least 55 years old, or have a low oxygen level, or the donor was a heavy smoker, or the lung has a collapsed area, or the donor was a certain type of non-heart-beating donor.
  • The donor lung cannot have a bruise or signs of infection.
