Muscle imaging study for myotonic dystrophy

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with myotonic dystrophy type 1 or 2 (or are a healthy volunteer without major medical conditions)
  • You are between 18 and 65 years old
  • You are able to walk on your own without a walker
  • You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or metal implants that would make an MRI unsafe
  • You are not pregnant
  • You have not taken anabolic steroids or catabolic agents in the last year
