This study compares a high dose of vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol) to the standard dose to see which is better at raising vitamin D levels in people with aggressive non-Hodgkin lymphoma. If you are starting your first treatment for a fast-growing lymphoma and have low vitamin D, you may be able to join.

Who can take part

  • You are 20 years or older.
  • You have been newly diagnosed with a fast-growing type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (aggressive NHL) and are about to start your first treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy.
  • Your vitamin D level is low (less than 30 ng/mL) and you haven't been taking vitamin D supplements before this study.
  • You are generally able to carry out daily activities (ECOG performance status 0-3) and your organs are working well enough for standard chemotherapy.
  • You do not have certain health problems, like high calcium or phosphate levels, kidney disease (stage 4 or worse), or a history of kidney stones from high calcium in urine.
