Who can take part

  • You are 18 to 65 years old.
  • Your pain score is 4 or higher on a 0–10 scale.
  • You have a slipped disc in your lower back seen on MRI that matches your symptoms.
  • You have tried other treatments (like physical therapy or medicine) that didn't help enough, and your doctor prescribed a steroid injection in your spine.
  • You have not had back surgery for a disc herniation before.
  • You have not had a steroid injection in your spine in the last 6 months.
