Sound therapy for fear of movement and recovery in injured athletes

This trial tests if listening to specific binaural beats can help professional athletes with lower limb injuries feel less fear of movement and improve their heart health and fitness. You may join if you're a pro athlete aged 18-25 who has had a leg injury at least 3 months ago and has been fully cleared to play again.

Who can take part

  • You are a professional athlete in sports like soccer, basketball, or tennis (open-skill sports).
  • You are between 18 and 25 years old.
  • You have had a leg injury at least 3 months ago and have fully recovered.
  • You feel some fear of movement (score 17-37 on a fear-of-movement questionnaire).
  • You have some sports-related anxiety (score more than 17 on a competitive anxiety test).
  • You can read and speak English well enough.
