Who can take part

  • You had a moderate or severe traumatic brain injury that required staying in a rehab hospital.
  • You can walk on your own, with or without a cane or walker, but your comfortable walking speed is slower than about 3 miles per hour.
  • You walk with a step-over-step pattern (not shuffling).
  • You can understand and follow simple instructions.
  • You do not have health problems like uncontrolled heart or lung disease, or recent orthopedic or nerve issues that affected walking before your injury.
