Who can take part
- You have a new diagnosis of head and neck cancer in the mouth, larynx, hypopharynx, or oropharynx that is stage III or IVA and can be removed with surgery.
- Your tumor must show a protein called PD-L1 at a certain level (CPS score of 1 or higher).
- You are between 18 and 70 years old.
- You are in good physical condition (able to take care of yourself) with normal organ function (kidneys, liver, blood cells).
- You have not had previous surgery or radiation for head and neck cancer, and no other cancer within the last 5 years.
