Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 80 years old.
- You have chronic gum disease (periodontitis) at a stage 3 or 4, which means deep gum pockets and bone loss seen on x-rays.
- You are either generally healthy (ASA 1) or have type 2 diabetes with your HbA1c between 6.5% and 8.0% and are on a stable treatment plan.
- You are willing to keep good oral hygiene and attend all appointments.
- You can give informed consent to participate.
