Who can take part
- Diagnosed with Stage III or IV periodontitis (advanced gum disease) using current diagnostic standards
- At least one tooth with a deep gum pocket (5mm or deeper) and significant bone loss visible on imaging
- Age 18–70 years old and generally healthy overall
- Not a heavy smoker (no more than 10 cigarettes per day on average)
- No uncontrolled diabetes, osteoporosis, or medications affecting bone healing in the past 6 months
- The affected tooth is saveable (no severe root fracture or untreatable infection)
