Heart and nervous system health after stem cell transplant

Transplant-Related Disorder

Part of Immune system & allergy clinical trials.

This study looks at how your autonomic nervous system (the part that controls heartbeat and digestion) affects the risk of graft-versus-host disease (a condition where donor cells attack your body) after a half-matched stem cell transplant. You may be able to join if you are older than 16 and receiving a half-matched transplant from a family donor.

Probiotics to help gut health after stem cell transplant

This trial tests whether a special probiotic made from the patient's own gut bacteria and their donor's can help fix gut problems caused by a complication called graft-versus-host disease (aGVHD) after a stem cell transplant. It might help patients who are over 50 and scheduled for a specific type of transplant.
