Biceps tendon transfer for large rotator cuff tears

Massive Rotator Cuff Tear

Part of Bones, joints & muscles clinical trials.

This study tests a new surgical technique that uses your biceps tendon to help repair a large rotator cuff tear. It may be an option if you have not improved after at least 3 months of other treatments.

NCT07051889Not yet recruiting
Comparing two surgeries for massive rotator cuff tears

This trial is for people with a large, torn rotator cuff that cannot be repaired with standard techniques. It compares two surgical options: transferring a nearby muscle (lower trapezius tendon transfer) or doing a partial repair of the torn cuff. The goal is to see which one works better for pain and movement.

Surgery for massive rotator cuff tear

This trial tests a standard surgical treatment for people with a large tear in the rotator cuff tendon. It aims to improve shoulder function and pain relief.

NCT06774820Recruiting
Biceps tendon surgery alongside rotator cuff repair study

This study is testing a new surgical technique for repairing a torn rotator cuff while also addressing the biceps tendon. It aims to see if adding this biceps procedure improves recovery and outcomes for people with full-thickness tears.

Shoulder tendon transfer vs. reconstruction for large tears

This trial compares two surgeries to repair large rotator cuff tears (torn shoulder tendons). One moves a nearby tendon, the other uses a patch. It aims to find which works better for pain and mobility.

NCT05660031Recruiting
Biceps treatment during rotator cuff repair

This study looks at how to treat the biceps tendon when someone is getting surgery for a rotator cuff tear. It may help improve outcomes after surgery and recovery, especially when there is also a supraspinatus tear.

NCT07657689Not yet recruiting
Shoulder tendon repair using the biceps tendon for support

This trial tests whether using part of the biceps tendon can help repair a torn supraspinatus tendon in the shoulder. It may offer a stronger option for workers with a common type of rotator cuff tear that hasn't healed with therapy or needs surgery after an injury.
