Who can take part
- You are between 5 and 18 years old.
- You are getting a stem cell transplant and have low bone density, or you have already had a stem cell transplant and developed graft-versus-host disease (a complication from the donor cells).
- You do not have Fanconi anemia or other conditions that increase cancer risk from radiation.
- You have not taken bone-strengthening medicines like zoledronate or alendronate before.
- Your vitamin D level is not very low (below 20 ng/mL).
- You do not have active infections, kidney problems, or other bone diseases.
