Who can take part

  • You are between 40 and 60 years old.
  • You have a partial tear of the supraspinatus tendon (one of the shoulder rotator cuff muscles) seen on an MRI and confirmed by a doctor.
  • You have at least 2 positive shoulder tests during a physical exam (like Jobe, Hawkins, or Neer tests).
  • Your shoulder pain level is between 3.5 and 7.4 out of 10 on a standard pain scale.
  • You have not taken anti-inflammatory medication, received shoulder injections, or done physical therapy for your shoulder in the last 3 months.
  • You do not have a complete or massive rotator cuff tear, frozen shoulder, recent shoulder injury, or previous surgery on that shoulder.
