Who can take part
- Your baby was born between 24 weeks and 31 weeks + 6 days of pregnancy.
- Your baby was diagnosed with Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) within the first 3 days after birth.
- Your baby needs a breathing tube and a special machine called high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) to help them breathe.
- Your baby does not have severe birth defects, such as serious heart problems, a hole in the diaphragm, or brain abnormalities.
- Your baby must not have uncorrected shock or a grade 3 or 4 brain bleed before starting the breathing machine.
