Who can take part
- You are having a bronchoscopy (a lung exam with a thin, flexible tube) under deep sedation (you'll be asleep but not on a breathing machine).
- You are 18 years or older and not overweight (BMI under 30).
- You have not had problems recovering from anesthesia or surgery in the past.
- You do not have any current nose injuries, frequent nosebleeds, sinus surgery history, or active infections in your nose or throat.
- You are not taking long-term opioids, anti-anxiety, or sleep medications, and you are not allergic to the sedation drugs.
- You do not have severe heart or kidney problems, low oxygen levels at rest, or any condition the doctor thinks makes this trial unsafe for you.
