This study uses a smartphone app called MyHealthPal to track wound healing after certain spine or pain management surgeries. If you are getting a spinal cord stimulator or pain pump procedure, you may be able to join and help improve how recovery is monitored.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a smartphone (Android 5.0 Lollipop or later, or iPhone iOS 13 or later) and are comfortable using apps.
  • You are scheduled for a spinal cord stimulator or intrathecal pump procedure (implant, removal, or revision) at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
  • You can attend all standard follow-up appointments after surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
  • You do not have an active infection prior to the surgery.
