  • You are 18 years or older and can agree to join the study.
  • You have a smartphone (Android or iOS) and are comfortable using it.
  • You are scheduled for a specific type of brain or spine surgery that is not life-threatening.
  • You can fill out a short questionnaire before surgery (at least one time, up to the day before).
  • You are willing to share information about your recovery for one year after surgery.
  • You are not pregnant, and you do not have a condition that makes using the app or being in the study unsafe.
