Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have liver scarring (cirrhosis) that is well-controlled (Child-Pugh A) and your doctor has scheduled a liver biopsy
- You are either being biopsied to check for liver cancer or to confirm cirrhosis without cancer
- You can speak, read, and understand French
- You do not have a pacemaker or other electronic implant
- You are not taking certain heart or psychiatric medications (like flecainide, amitriptyline, or haloperidol)
