Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have liver scarring (cirrhosis) that is well-controlled (Child-Pugh A) and your doctor has scheduled a liver biopsy
  • You are either being biopsied to check for liver cancer or to confirm cirrhosis without cancer
  • You can speak, read, and understand French
  • You do not have a pacemaker or other electronic implant
  • You are not taking certain heart or psychiatric medications (like flecainide, amitriptyline, or haloperidol)
