  • You have squamous cell carcinoma in your mouth or voice box, stage III or IVA.
  • Your doctor plans to remove the tumor with surgery.
  • You are 18 to 75 years old.
  • You have not had any previous treatment for this cancer.
  • A tissue sample from your tumor is available for testing.
  • You have no other active cancers (except very minor skin cancers).
