Who can take part
- You have advanced stomach or gastroesophageal junction cancer that cannot be removed by surgery or has spread to other parts of the body.
- You have not had any prior chemotherapy or other cancer treatment for your advanced disease. (If you had chemotherapy or radiation before surgery, it must have been more than 12 months ago.)
- Your cancer is HER2 negative (a specific protein marker on cancer cells).
- You are between 18 and 75 years old, and your doctor has rated your daily activity level as 0 or 1 (meaning you are fully active or able to do light work).
- You do not have active hepatitis B or C, HIV, or other serious medical conditions like uncontrolled heart disease or active infections.
