Who can take part
- You are between 21 and 75 years old.
- You have had a stroke (either from a clot or bleeding) more than 6 months ago, and it left you with weakness on one side of your body.
- You are scheduled for neck surgery that includes a laminectomy (removing part of the spine bone) and nerve monitoring during the procedure.
- You are not currently taking medications for muscle spasms or seizures.
- You do not have other neurological diseases like ALS, spinal cord injury, or nerve disorders.
