Who can take part

  • You must have a vascular malformation (type called venous or arteriovenous) seen on an MRI or ultrasound.
  • You should have symptoms like pain, swelling, trouble using the body part, or open sores from the malformation.
  • Your doctor must confirm the malformation can be safely reached and treated with microwave ablation.
  • You are willing to give permission for the treatment (or a parent can for minors).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you do not have a bleeding disorder or active infection near the malformation.
