- You are between 60 and 80 years old.
- You can walk without help from another person or a walking aid.
- You are physically able to do resistance (strength) training.
- You have not done regular resistance exercise in the last 12 months.
- You do not have serious heart, nerve, muscle, or metabolic conditions.
- You do not have a severe obesity (BMI over 39), musculoskeletal injury, or take statins that cause muscle pain.
