Who can take part

  • You must have severe narrowing of the aortic valve (aortic stenosis) that causes symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, or fainting.
  • Your doctor must decide you are a candidate for a minimally invasive valve replacement called TAVR, regardless of your surgical risk.
  • You must be willing to sign a consent form and follow all study procedures and follow-up visits.
  • You cannot have a life expectancy of less than one year, or have had a heart attack or heart surgery in the past month.
  • You cannot have untreated coronary artery disease, severe heart muscle problems, or certain blood disorders that increase bleeding risk.
