This study checks if the medicine sulfasalazine affects a blood sugar test (HbA1c) in people with inflammatory arthritis. If you have arthritis, take sulfasalazine, and have higher blood sugar or diabetes, this trial may help understand your glucose levels.

Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have been taking the medicine sulfasalazine for at least 2 months.
- You have a type of inflammatory arthritis (such as rheumatoid arthritis, reactive arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, or juvenile arthritis).
- Either your HbA1c (a blood sugar test) is at least 38 mmol/mol, or you have been diagnosed with diabetes (type 1, type 2, or another type).
- You can speak Danish and agree to upload your glucose information to a secure platform (Libreview).
- You have not had steroid injections or high-dose steroid pills in the last 2 months and do not plan to in the next 4 weeks.
