Who can take part

  • You must be 14 years old or older.
  • Your thyroid cancer must be locally advanced (stage T4), which means it has grown beyond the thyroid into nearby tissues.
  • You must have a type of thyroid cancer that can be confirmed by a biopsy— this includes common types (differentiated, medullary, poorly differentiated, and anaplastic).
  • You cannot have had any prior thyroid or major neck surgery, nor any other cancer treatments (like chemo, radiation, or targeted therapy) that could affect this plan.
  • You should be able to have a tumor sample taken (biopsy) and be willing to have surgery as part of this trial.
  • You must be generally healthy enough for treatment, with good organ function and no other active cancers or uncontrolled illnesses.
