Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 45 years old.
  • You are overweight with a BMI between 25 and 30 and a waist size over 94 cm (men) or 80 cm (women).
  • Your weight has been stable (less than 5% change) for the past 3 months.
  • You are in generally good health with controlled blood pressure (under 160/100 mm Hg).
  • You are willing to avoid supplements, probiotics, and high-fiber foods for 4 weeks before and during the study.
  • You agree to eat the study foods and follow the menu plan daily, and avoid vigorous exercise on study days.
