Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 75 years old
- You have been taking a stable dose of a statin (cholesterol-lowering medication) for at least 4 weeks
- Your LDL 'bad' cholesterol is not low enough despite current treatment
- You have not been diagnosed with familial hypercholesterolemia (a genetic cause of high cholesterol)
- Your blood pressure must be under control (below 180/110 mmHg)
- Your liver and kidney function tests are within acceptable limits
