Who can take part
- You are being treated in an intensive care unit (ICU) after an emergency or unplanned admission
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been in the ICU for less than 24 hours since your first study treatment
- You were admitted to the hospital less than 24 hours before going to the ICU
- Your Anttila-Index score (a measure of risk for delirium) is 4 or higher
- You do not have existing confusion, are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and have no known allergy to lorazepam
