Who can take part
- Weigh between 45 kg and 90 kg (about 99 to 198 pounds).
- Have fever (or recent fever) and a blood test showing 1,000 to 40,000 P. vivax parasites per microliter of blood.
- Be able to swallow pills and stay in the hospital for at least 72 hours.
- Agree to return for check-ups on days 4, 7, 14, 21, 28, 35, 42, 60, 120, and 180.
- Not be pregnant, not breastfeeding, and use effective birth control (if female) or agree to use condoms/abstain (if male) for 75 days after treatment.
- Have normal G6PD enzyme levels (tested) and no serious health conditions like heart, liver, kidney problems or HIV/Hepatitis.
