Who can take part
- You must be male.
- You must have severe hemophilia A (your factor VIII level is less than 1%).
- You must not have been treated with factor VIII medicines before. (A few doses of blood products like cryoprecipitate are okay.)
- You must not have inhibitors (antibodies that stop factor VIII from working).
- You must not have allergies to factor VIII or any ingredients, including animal proteins.
