LA function after pulse field ablation for paroxysmal AF

Atrial Fibrillation (AF)

Part of Heart & circulation clinical trials.

This trial tests how pulse field ablation (a treatment that uses short electrical pulses to correct irregular heartbeats) affects the left atrium's function in people with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib that comes and goes). It may help if you have paroxysmal AFib and are in normal rhythm at the start of the procedure.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AFib that starts and stops on its own)
  • You are in normal heart rhythm (sinus rhythm) when the procedure begins
  • You have not had a prior atrial ablation procedure
  • You do not have significant valve disease in your heart
  • You have not had a left atrial appendage closure procedure
  • You do not have persistent or long-standing AFib

NCT06801392Recruiting
Pulsed-field ablation for non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation

This trial tests a new way to treat non-paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF) using a focused type of ablation (pulsed-field energy) on specific areas of the heart. It aims to see if targeting the left atrial wall and mitral isthmus can improve outcomes for people who have not had this procedure before.

NCT06647485Recruiting
Pulsed Field Ablation for Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation

This trial studies a new procedure called pulsed field ablation to treat brief episodes of atrial fibrillation (AFib). The goal is to see if it can help reset the heart's natural electrical system and reduce symptoms.

NCT06739512Not yet recruiting
Pulsed field ablation for persistent atrial fibrillation

This trial tests a new procedure called pulsed field ablation to treat persistent atrial fibrillation (long-lasting irregular heartbeat). It compares different ways of using the procedure and may be an option if heart rhythm medicines haven't worked for you.

NCT07577544Not yet recruiting
Pulsed Field Ablation for Atrial Fibrillation Treatment

This trial tests a newer, gentler ablation technique (pulsed field ablation) to treat atrial fibrillation by creating a targeted scar in a specific heart area. The goal is to see if this approach is safe and effective for people whose heart rhythm is irregular.

NCT06803238Not yet recruiting
Pulsed-field ablation for persistent atrial fibrillation

This study tests a new type of energy (pulsed-field ablation) to create a lasting block in a specific area of the heart, aiming to improve the success of a procedure for people with persistent atrial fibrillation.

NCT07023237Not yet recruiting
3D guided pulsed field ablation for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation

This study tests a new 3D-guided technique using pulsed field energy to treat paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, a type of irregular heartbeat that comes and goes. It may help patients who have not had a prior ablation and have a heart strong enough for the procedure.
