Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with persistent or paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (AF), confirmed by a doctor and an ECG or heart monitor.
  • You are willing and able to give your consent and attend all follow-up visits.
  • Your left atrium is not too large (based on an imaging test).
  • You have not had any prior surgery or procedure on the heart's upper chambers (atria) for arrhythmia, except for certain right-sided ones.
  • You do not have a pacemaker, defibrillator, or certain other heart devices.
  • You do not have certain other heart conditions, like severe valve disease, heart failure, or a history of dangerous fast heart rhythms.
