Study of gecacitinib plus pegylated interferon for polycythemia vera

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have been diagnosed with polycythemia vera (PV) by standard criteria.
  • You have at least one of these: high blood counts (HCT ≥45%, platelets >400, or white blood cells ≥10), significant weight loss, night sweats, itching, unexplained fever, worsening spleen enlargement, or a past blood clot or bleed.
  • You have not been treated with pegylated interferon or a JAK inhibitor (like ruxolitinib) before.
  • Your major organs (liver, kidneys) are working well, and your blood counts are stable.
  • You are able to swallow pills and are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
