Who can take part
- You must be 18 years old or older.
- You must be in overall good health (based on your medical history and a physical exam).
- Your height and weight must meet requirements: men taller than 5'1" and heavier than 130 lbs; women taller than 5'5" and heavier than 150 lbs.
- Your blood counts and other lab tests must be normal (or only slightly off and not a concern to the doctor).
- You must not be pregnant, nursing, or planning to get pregnant during the study, and you must use an effective birth control method (including a barrier method) if you are of childbearing potential.
- You cannot have a known red blood cell disorder, be taking medicines that affect red blood cells, have had a blood transfusion in the past year, or have been in another clinical trial in the last 28 days.
