Blood flow restriction therapy after ankle ligament surgery

Ankle ReconstructionBlood Flow Restriction TherapyPhysical Therapy

Part of Bones, joints & muscles, Injuries & trauma clinical trials.

This study tests whether a special blood flow restriction device used during physical therapy helps people recover better after ankle ligament repair. You would do physical therapy as usual, but with a cuff on your upper leg that gently limits blood flow during exercises, which may help strengthen muscles more quickly.

NCT07131787Recruiting
Blood flow restriction training after Achilles tendon repair

This study tests whether adding blood flow restriction training to standard rehab helps your Achilles tendon and calf muscle heal better after surgery. You would do exercises with a special cuff that gently limits blood flow to your leg.

Blood flow restriction after ACL surgery with quad graft

This study tests whether using a special blood flow restriction cuff after ACL surgery helps you recover faster and stronger. It is for people having ACL reconstruction using their own quadriceps tendon for the first time.

NCT04149977Recruiting
Blood flow restriction therapy for knee tendon injuries

This study tests whether blood flow restriction therapy can help healing and recovery after certain knee extensor injuries (like patella or quadriceps tendon rupture). You must be able to take part in the usual physical therapy plan, too.

NCT07103252Not yet recruiting
Blood flow restriction therapy for leg fracture recovery

This trial tests a therapy that uses a special cuff to gently restrict blood flow to your leg while you do exercises. It aims to help rebuild muscle size and strength faster after a lower leg fracture when you cannot yet put weight on it.

NCT04104126Recruiting
Blood flow restriction therapy for an Achilles injury

This trial looks at whether “blood flow restriction” during exercise can improve healing for people with an Achilles injury. You may be asked to also do standard physical therapy, but the study focuses on the added blood-flow-restriction approach.

NCT07030634Not yet recruiting
Blood flow restriction and balance training for ankle sprains

This study tests whether adding blood flow restriction to balance exercises helps people with recurring ankle sprains improve joint sensation and stability. It is for those with mild to moderate ankle sprains that keep coming back.
