Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • Your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 40 or above
  • You are scheduled for a surgery that uses general anesthesia (you'll be completely asleep)
  • You are not pregnant
  • You do not have any birth differences of the face or airway
  • You have not had major neck surgery, a tracheostomy, certain lung diseases, or heart problems
