Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis (confirmed by X-ray, grade 1 to 3)
  • You do not have rheumatoid arthritis or other autoimmune diseases
  • You do not have advanced knee osteoarthritis that needs a total knee replacement
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or less
  • You have not had a steroid injection in your knee in the last 3 months, or a hyaluronic acid injection in the last 6 months
