Who can take part

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have head and neck cancer that is confirmed by biopsy or imaging, or you are planning surgery for suspected cancer.
  • Your overall health and organ function must be good enough for surgery and anesthesia.
  • You must be able to perform daily activities with minimal help (Karnofsky score 70% or higher or ECOG 0-2).
  • You must not have an active autoimmune disease, certain infections, or take high-dose steroids (more than 10 mg of prednisone daily).
