Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with head and neck squamous cell carcinoma confirmed by biopsy.
  • A doctor has planned surgery that aims to remove all of your cancer.
  • You are age 18 or older and in fairly good health (able to do daily activities with little or no help).
  • Your heart, liver, kidney, and blood counts are adequate for surgery based on routine tests.
  • If you could become pregnant, you agree to use effective birth control or not have sex during the treatment and for 5 months after.
  • You have not had an allergic reaction to panitumumab or similar antibody therapies in the past.
