Who can take part

  • You are 15 years old or older.
  • You are having one of these surgeries: removing a wisdom tooth, an apicoectomy (removing the tip of a tooth's root), or getting a dental implant.
  • Your dentist has a clear diagnosis for the surgery before you have it.
  • You do not have a serious health condition that requires a hospital referral for the surgery.
  • You are not having surgery for a problem caused by a previous dental surgery.
  • Your dentist's original diagnosis for this surgery has not been changed by another dentist.
