Genetic-guided dosing of 6-MP in childhood ALL maintenance

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) and are in the maintenance phase of treatment.
  • You are scheduled to take the oral chemotherapy medicine 6-MP.
  • You have had genetic testing (NUDT15 and TPMT) to help guide your 6-MP dose.
  • Your liver and kidney function tests are within safe limits (ALT/AST no more than 2.5 times the upper normal limit).
  • You do not have Down syndrome, relapsed/refractory ALL, or a history of stem cell transplant.
  • You do not have severe organ problems or an uncontrolled infection.
