Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 85 years old
  • You are scheduled for elective lung surgery using three small incisions (VATS)
  • You are in overall good health (ASA physical status I-III)
  • You do not have certain health conditions like severe nerve problems, bleeding disorders, or obesity (BMI over 35)
  • You are not allergic to numbing medicines (local anesthetics) or addicted to opioids
