Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a specific type of lung surgery that spares lung tissue
  • You are between 18 and 75 years old
  • You have an ASA physical status of I, II, or III (generally healthy or mild to moderate illness)
  • You are willing and able to provide written consent
  • You are not taking blood thinners or have a bleeding disorder
  • You do not have severe lung disease or respiratory failure
