  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have shock with a systolic blood pressure between 60 and 90 mmHg
  • Your shock index is between 1 and 2 (a measure of how serious your shock is)
  • You have complete medical records available
  • You do not have neck wounds or carotid artery plaques that would prevent ultrasound use
